Never Again

On Sunday...Superbowl Sunday...we let our kids stay up...late. I don't know why, it just seemed okay. They stayed up until around 11:00. We kept thinking, "We don't need to put them to bed, we'll leave soon." But we ended up staying the whole time. Everything was great at the time, Elle fell asleep on my lap, Taylor and Lilly were upstairs playing really well together and having so much fun. Why would we take them away from something they were enjoying so much. We were enjoying it too! We were having so much fun, we weren't thinking of the consequences at all.

This is why...the ENTIRE next week is ruined!

Monday: Elle didn't stop crying and clinging to my leg. If I put her down to do something, she would scream until I picked her back up or gave in and gave her some sort of sugar.

Tuesday: We went to Moe's and the kids were screaming the whole time. Elle wouldn't eat, she just threw her food and Taylor was being super sensitive about everything. He couldn't decide if he wanted a highchair, booster, or nothing. If I pushed him to decide he would have broken down. He was on the constant verge of meltdown.

Wednesday: We went to the post office to mail our valentines. When we got into the car Taylor started freaking out about his paper being bent and demanding that I turn the car around and get him another piece of paper. Of course I didn't, but that was enough to set him off the rest of the morning. We got into the post office and he didn't stop screaming. I was trying to calm him down, while Elle was tugging on the chains almost knocking them over. The more I tried to calm him down the louder he got. I felt everyone looking at me...not that I really cared, but I knew they were like "shut them up!" They even let me cut in line so I could get out of there faster.

It's only Wednesday, and I hope our sleep will be caught up tonight. PLEASE!!!

I managed to snap one picture at the post office during all of the craziness.
